An Invitational Exhibition Featuring Ceramic Works in Two Parts, Guest Curated by Kelli Stewart

Please join us for an Opening Reception on Saturday, March 15th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Clay Art Center is pleased to present Come Together, our Clay Art Center Artists Exhibition for 2025, guest juried by Kelli Stewart. This exhibition features ceramic works that are made of two pieces, which come together to form something greater than the sum of its parts. Participating artists are part of our Clay Art Center Artist Program. Clay Art Center was created to be a thriving home for the ceramics community, and today, offers access to private and shared studio space so local artists can work in a community setting. This exhibition is a part of the professional opportunities available to artists who become a part of our studio artist program. Our Opening Reception will take place on Saturday, March 15th.

Guest Curator and past Artist-in-Residence at Clay Art Center Kelli Stewart, states, “In Come Together, parts work together to become one, exploring the idea of connection, unity and the struggle between individual identity and shared experience. This exhibition presents a diverse range of ceramic forms, through which we see how the tactile nature of clay can serve as a metaphor for connection. We are reminded that being human is never a static experience, but a dialogue—continually seeking balance between the separate and the whole.

Kelli Stewart continues, “As a past Artist-in-residence at Clay Art Center, I was delighted to recognize the evolution of familiar member’s work, to see the maturation of their ideas, and to look back and see how the seeds of then, have now come to fruition. The progression from then until now is particularly moving- the growth, the exploration, the pushing of boundaries in ways that I didn’t imagine. I am extremely honored to be a part of this and so proud to be a part of the Clay Art Center legacy.”
