Be in with a chance to bid on auction items including this vase by Brooklyn based artist Kyle Scott Lee.

This year at Hand In Hand we will honor our beloved teaching artist Jeanne Carreau, who celebrates 25 years of teaching at Clay Art Center. Watch Jeanne demonstrating making a Katherine Choy style vessel in preparation for the upcoming Greenwich Historical Society  exhibition "Radical Pots and Cooperative Hands" (October 18 - February 4, 2024).

This year we also celebrate 25 years of Keiko Ashida's dedication to teaching at Clay Art Center! Originally from Japan, Keiko first came to Clay Art Center to purchase a kiln from our co-founder Henry Okamoto. Luckily for us, Keiko decided to make Clay Art Center a part of her daily life, and has been inspiring students for two and a half decades. Students who have taken classes with Keiko are always amazed at her versatility and knowledge as a teacher.

Celebrating 25 Years of our Artist In Residence Program at Clay Art Center

For 25 Years, Clay Art Center has been helping to develop the next generation of ceramic artists with our Artist in Residence Program. To date, over 50 artists have passed through the program and gone on to further their careers in the field as professional artists and teachers. Learn more about our 2023-2024 Artists in Residence.

Your tickets, donations, and auction proceeds support vital operations, as well as programs including year-round scholarships, residencies for emerging artists, and community outreach programs which allow Clay Art Center to promote the practice and appreciation for ceramic arts in our community.
